Menu Options

File

New

This opens a new Rapid Meta-Tags workspace in which you can paste text from the clipboard, or into which you type new text. You can modify text and by pressing the reload button, Rapid Meta-Tags will update the information and its meta-tags in the boxes below the workspace.

Note that you can cut and paste text from any application into the Rapid Meta-Tags workspace.

Open

This option allows you to open any existing html or text file. If you want to open a word document you can either save the word document as a.txt file or cut and paste the content into a New Rapid Meta-Tags workspace.

Recent Files

Quick link to the most recent files you have opened.

Open URL

This allows you to open a webpage direct from the Internet. You will of course need to be connected to the Internet for this option to be used.

Recent URLs

Quick link to the most recent URLs you have opened

Save Project

This allows you to save your current work as a project. All the settings in Options will be saved with the project, and reloaded when you open the project file again.

Load Project

This allows you to load a project that you have previously saved and to continue working on it.

Close Project

This closes the current project.

Recent Projects

Quick link to the most recent projects you have opened

Options

Opens the Options dialog box, allowing you to edit any settings.

Manage Word Lists

Opens the Dictionary dialog box, allowing you to edit the dictionary currently in use

View

These options allow you to show or hide the various meta-tag display windows. Visible windows are marked with a black dot next to the menu option.

View Title

Show / Hide the Title display box.

View Keywords

Show / Hide the Keywords display box.

View Description

Show / Hide the Description display box.

View Author

Show / Hide the Author display box.

View Robots

Show / Hide the Robots display box.

View Keyword List

Show / Hide the Keyword List.

Batch Processes

These features allow you to perform certain actions on a whole range of files. The Update Files Batch Process allows you to quickly generate and update the meta-tags of multiple files. The other Batch Processes are added features we've found useful.

Opens the help system, which contains this information.

About Rapid Meta-Tags

Opens the About dialog box, which will tell you the current version of Rapid Meta-Tags, and includes a link to the webstore where you may either update your copy of Rapid Meta-Tags, or purchase a license key (if you have a trial version).

Enter Product Key

If you are running the Trial version of Rapid Meta-Tags, this option will be available. To activate the product to the full version, you must purchase a license key, and enter it in the box provided, or copy the entire license key into the first box. If the license key is legitimate, a green tick will appear.
