One of the biggest problems we encountered while developing Rapid
Meta-Tags was the problem of sites created with templates. We found
that the templates are often keyword rich, especially those with
navigation menus, and often have prominent catch phrases which Rapid
Meta-Tags picks up as good titles or descriptions. Because every
page in the site shares the template, the meta-tags of every page
end up being identical, and don't accurately reflect the individual
content of the page. To overcome this problem, we introduced the
concept of Regions.
The Regions system allows you to divide your page into logical
regions, and tell Rapid Meta-Tags which parts of the page should be
considered when calculating the meta-tags, and which parts to
ignore. There are no universal standards for how templates should be
designed, so we have defined four types of Region:
