These buttons allow you to navigate and manage the regions as
follows:
Regular Expression Box
If you have selected User-Defined Regions, this box appears, and
displays the current regular expression being used. To edit the
regular expression, click the Edit button, and make your changes in
the resulting dialog box.
Display Parent Region
When you have selected to view the sub-regions of a selected
region, click this button to return to the original, or parent,
region.
Suspend Layout /
Resume Layout
Every time you select a new region, Rapid Meta-Tags will
re-calculate all the meta-tags for your selection. This can take up
to a second for very large pages, so that if you have a number of
regions to select, the process can take an irritating amount of
time. To prevent Rapid Sitemaps from refreshing every time you
select a new region, click Suspend Layout. You will now be able to
select as many regions as you want without having to wait for Rapid
Sitemaps to refresh each time. When you have finished selecting
regions, click the Resume Layout button to refresh your meta-tags
with the current content.
Set As Template
Click this button to set your current Regions selection as the
default for new files. Any new pages opened, whether they be from
file, URL or just new blank pages, will have these Regions selected.
Not only will the type of Region be remembered, but which Regions
you had selected will also be remembered. If the Regions are named
(eg: FrontPage Regions), Rapid Meta-Tags will try to select Regions
with that name only in any new file opened. If, on the other hand,
the Regions are not named (eg: Table Regions), Rapid Meta-Tags will
remember their positions, and try to select Regions in those
positions again.
Example 1:
You have selected FrontPage Regions, and Rapid Meta-Tags has
found two Regions in your page; one named "doctitle" and one named
"main". You have selected the Region named "main", but not the
Region named "doctitle". You click the Set As Template button, to
set your current selection as the default, and open a new file.
Rapid Meta-Tags analyses the page, and finds the two regions, named
"doctitle" and "main". The "main" Region is selected. You open
another page, and Rapid-Mate-Tags finds three regions, named
"doctitle", "pagetitle" and "content". There is no Region named
"main", so no Regions are selected.
Example 2:
You have selected Table Regions, and Rapid Meta-Tags has found
one table, with three rows, each of which has three cells. You
select only the middle cell (Table 1; Row 2; Cell 2), and click Set
As Template to set your current selection as the default. You open a
second file, and Rapid Meta-Tags identifies one table, with six
rows, each of which have two cells. The second cell of the second
row is selected. You open a third file, and Rapid Meta-Tags finds
two tables. The first has one row of three cells, and the second
three rows of three cells. No cells are selected, because the first
table does not have a second row.
Apply To All Open Files
Click this button to apply your current Regions selection to all
the files currently open. This will override whatever Regions are
currently selected in the open files. Not only will the type of
Region be applied, but which Regions you had selected will also be
applied. If the Regions are named (eg: FrontPage Regions), Rapid
Meta-Tags will try to select Regions with those names only. If, on
the other hand, the Regions are not named (eg: Table Regions), Rapid
Meta-Tags will remember the positions of the selected Regions, and
try to select Regions in those positions again.
Example 1:
You have selected FrontPage Regions, and Rapid Meta-Tags has
found two Regions in your page; one named "doctitle" and one named
"main". You have selected the Region named "main", but not the
Region named "doctitle". You click the Apply To All Open Files
button, to apply your current selection to all your open files.
Rapid Meta-Tags analyses the first file you have open, and finds the
two regions, named "doctitle" and "main". The "main" Region is
selected. Rapid-Mate-Tags then analyses the next file, and finds
three regions, named "doctitle", "pagetitle" and "content". There is
no Region named "main", so no Regions are selected.
Example 2:
You have selected Table Regions, and Rapid Meta-Tags has found
one table, with three rows, each of which has three cells. You
select only the middle cell (Table 1; Row 2; Cell 2), and click
Apply To All Open Files to apply your current selection to all the
open files. Rapid Meta-Tags checks the first open file, and
identifies one table, with six rows, each of which have two cells.
The second cell of the second row is selected. Rapid Meta-Tags then
analyses the second open file, and finds two tables. The first has
one row of three cells, and the second three rows of three cells. No
cells are selected, because the first table does not have a second
row.
